In addition to the new support for DS3400 with GPFS, we are also announcing support of the latest firmware updates for the DS4000 family of disk controllers and GPFS V3.1 and V3.2. The
new firmware support includes both the 7.10.23 (or greater) levels including 7.15.07 (or greater).
On AIX 5.3 and AIX 6.1 only the FCPARRAY attachment model was tested and support is offered.
The latest service updates are recommended for GPFS:
GPFS for AIX*, V3.1 3.1.0.21 or latest level
GPFS for AIX, V3.2 3.2.1.3 or latest level
GPFS for Linux Multiplatform, V3.1 3.1.0-21 or latest level
GPFS for Linux Multiplatform, V3.2 3.2.1-3 or latest level
This support extends to all operating systems and hardware platforms that are supported by the IBM DS4000 disk controllers and GPFS V3.1 and V3.2 with the exception of the Linux operating system running on IBM Power System processors.
